KANSAS CITY, Mo. —Payton Mauldin of Dordt (Iowa) has been named NAIA Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week and Isaiah Tipping of Marian (Ind.) has been selected as the NAIA Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week. The duo was selected based on their performances from January 29 - February 4 and were selected out of a pool of nominees from across the country.

Players of the week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Wednesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

Payton Mauldin, Dordt (Iowa) - SR

• Competed in the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite
• Finished 2nd of 42 athletes in the 400m (46.99) and broke a school record
• Finished 6th of 26 athletes in the 800m (1:50.95)
• Anchored his 4x400m team to a 6th place finish of 18 teams (3:16.39)

NAIA Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week  

Isaiah Tipping, Marian (Ind.) - SR

• Competed in the IWU Midwest Classic
• Finished 1st of 49 athletes in the weight throw (20.89)
• Finished 6th of 53 athletes in the shot put (15.08)
