STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – [BRACKET SCHEDULE | LIVE STREAM] - The 2023 NAIA Men's Bowling National Championship has shrunk the field of 12 qualifying teams down to only four remaining. Marian (Ind.) is the last standing undefeated squad, while Lawrence Tech (Mich.), St. Xavier (Ill.), and Indiana Tech will battle for a spot in the championship.  

Round One Highlights

  • St. Francis (Ill.) was victorious 3-1 in their opening match, upsetting the seventh seed and marching forward in the winners bracket
  • Hastings (Neb.) won 3-2 over Pikeville to stay in the top half
  • Tennessee Southern and St. Xavier held their seed to keep moving on

Round Two Highlights

  • After dropping the first game, top seeded Indiana Tech and Lawrence Tech (Mich.) both won three straight to secure the win
  • St. Xavier rallied to three straight games to upset third seeded SCAD-Savannah (Ga.) by a 3-2 count
  • Marian fended off the upset by Tennessee Southern with three straight decisive victories

Round Three Highlights

  • SCAD took care of their opposition in straight games, winning by at least 21 each time
  • Pikeville rode wins in the first two games to a 3-1 victory
  • Hastings closed the five game series on a 2-0 run to win by just a seven pin margin
  • Entering the fifth tied at 2-2, the Firehawks won by 62 pins
  • William Penn (Iowa), St. Francis, Hastings, and Kansas Wesleyan are eliminated from championship play

Round Four Highlights

  • Lawrence Tech, the hometown hosts, were the first to claim their spot in the next round with a strong closing finish in sets three and four
  • Marian knocked off the top seed in the tournament with a 3-0 run to finish the round
  • In the consolation bracket, Pikeville was victorious 3-1 to defeat a higher seed
  • Hastings won their second straight elimination match closing 220 and 222
  • SCAD and Tennessee Southern are eliminated from championship play

Round Five Highlights

  • Marian knocked off their second top seed of the day, defeating the host LTU Blue Devils
  • Indiana Tech had an impressive three game sweep to keep their hopes of winning the consolation bracket
  • SXU rallied with three games in a row to move to the Round Six match tomorrow
  • Hastings and Pikeville are eliminated from championship play

Day three, featuring the four remaining teams, starts at 8:30 am ET/7:30 am CT on Saturday.
