STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – [BRACKET | SCHEDULE | LIVE STREAM] The 2022 NAIA Men’s Bowling Championship began on Thursday at Five Star Lanes with six sets of four baker games to decide seeding for day two.

Highlights

• Cumberlands (Ky.) registered scores of at least 800 in five-of-six baker sets to hold the top spot in qualifying with a score of 4916.
• St. Xavier (Ill.) finished just nine pins back with a total score of 4908 to head into bracket play seeded second
• St. Francis (Ill.) used a final baker set score of 841 to secure the 3-seed.
• SCAD Savannah (Ga.) posted two plus 800 scores in their final two baker sets to lock up the fourth seed.
• Tennessee Southern, rode three scores over 850 to put itself in the five spot, just 11 pins back of SCAD
• After starting the day with three sets of at least 800, Pikeville (Ky.) ended strong with an 813 in the final baker set to put the Bears in the top half of the 12-team field heading into day two.

Day two, featuring bracket play, starts at 8:30 am ET/7:30 am CT on Friday.
