GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – [SCHEDULE | BRACKET] The NAIA Women’s Beach Volleyball Invitational opened up play on Thursday and completed the first four matches of each pool at the Greeneville Beach Volleyball Complex.

Pool A

No. 1 Corban (Ore.) def. No. 5 Webber International (Fla.), 5-0
No. 4 Arizona Christian def. No. 8 Ave Maria (Fla.), 4-1

No. 4 Arizona Christian def. No. 5 Webber International (Fla.), 5-0

• Corban went undefeated at every position through two matches of pool play.  

• Arizona Christian was the only other team to go 5-0 in a match besides Corban.

• Overall, Corban has had five of their 10 matches go to three sets. Emmi Marks and Nicole Bantilan, at the three's position, are the only Warriors to complete both of their matches in two sets.

• Four of Arizona Christian's five pairs won both of their matches today. Amaya Brown and Emily Katzer, at the five’s position, were the only ACU team to win both matches in two sets.

• OUAZ went undefeated on day one.

• The one's (Summer Hanks and Diana Enriquez) and two's (Mattea Wilson and Olivia Andersh) pairs for OUAZ went undefeated on the day, not only in matches but also in sets.

• Hanks and Enriquez, at the one’s position for OUAZ, clinched the win for the Spirit in both matches on Thursday.

• The three’s pair for Vanguard of Paige Cutwright and Gianna Pecile went undefeated in matches and sets on day one.

• Park’s four (Mafalda Bras and Luna Martins) and five pairs (Irene Verdino and Patri Ubeda) went undefeated on the day. Bras and Martins were the only Park team that didn’t drop a set.

Pool play will continue into Friday morning, with first serve set for 10 a.m. ET featuring Corban vs Arizona Christian and OUAZ vs Park. Any tie break
