KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Alayna Metherd and Ines Lopes of Ave Maria (Fla.) have been named the NAIA Women’s Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week. The duo was selected from a pool of nominees from across the country based on their performances from March 18 - 24.

Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Men's Volleyball Attacker of the Week 

Alyana Metherd and Ines Lopes, Ave Maria (Fla.) - Position 1

• Posted a 2-0 record at the one's position last week
• Contribute to the team's 4-1 and 5-0 wins against St. Andrews (N.C.) and Truett McConnell (Ga.), respectively
• Helped seal the team's first regular season Sun Conference title 
• The pair is 8-4 on the season
