2022 NAIA Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week

Players of the week are evaluated on their performance during the week prior to the announcement. Each player is selected out of a pool of conference and Continental Athletic Conference (Independents) award winners.

Week 4 (April 5, 2022)

Pair of the Week: Conley Harris & Natalie Escher, Vanguard (Calif.)

  Vanguard's No. 1 pair of Conley Harris and Natalie Escher went 5-0, defeating four Golden State Athletic Conference opponents and another from previously unbeaten Westcliff. Harris and Escher helped the Lions defeat three top-5 opponents, including then-No. 3 OUAZ, then-No. 2 The Master's and No. 3 Westcliff. They toughed out a 21-9, 18-21, 15-5 victory over TMU's Kasie Spencer and Evi Vates. In a tight 3-2 win over Westcliff, Harris and Escher won their match, 21-11, 21-10, against Elise Brown and Sierra Lim. The Lions have won nine straight matches entering this weekend's GSAC Tournament.

Week 3 (March 22, 2022)

Pair of the Week: Gianna Guinasso & Sierra Lim, Westcliff (Calif.)

Guinasso and Lim are Westcliff's #1 Pair. On this week they were perfect against NCAA D1 CSU Northridge winning their matches 2-0 and 2-1. They have a pair record of 9-0 on the season. They have not conceded a single set to an NAIA opponent this week and in the season against Life Pacific, Marymount (CA) and #5 Saint Katherine going 6-0 in sets. Westcliff is currently the only team left in the NAIA undefeated with a 9-0 record and 6-0 record in the Cal Pac conference due to a large part from Giansso and Lim.

Pair of the Week: Emilye Grace Williams & Annika Booker, The Master's (Calif.)

The duo won all four of their matches over the weekend, including against the top two teams in the NAIA

Week 1 (February 22, 2022)

Pair of the Week: Carly McKinney & Emma Galloway, Vanguard (Calif.)

 

 The Vanguard No. 3 pair of Carly McKinney and Emma Galloway went 4-0 together helping the Lions defeat four Golden State Athletic Conference opponents: RV San Diego Christian (Calif.), Life Pacific (Calif.), No. 2 Ottawa (Ariz.) and RV Hope International (Calif.).

The Lion duo did not drop a set in any of the matches and had their way with OUAZ's Kate Pestova and Priscilla Loiola, winning 21-9, 21-15. McKinney and Galloway were only pushed in one of their eight sets won, a 21-19 victory in the second set against the Hope International pair of Mara Sanchez and Naomi Ruiz.
