DICKINSON, N.D. - Kristen Fleury, Head Softball Coach at Dickinson State (N.D.), earned her 200th career coaching victory on Tuesday (May 12) against Madonna (Mich.) in a 1-0 win at the Concordia (CA) 2015 National Championship Opening Round

Coach Fleury went on to pick up her 201st victory on Wednesday as the Blue Hawks made an historical comeback in the bottom of the seventh inning, scoring seven runs to win 7-3 against Madonna to move onto the 2015 NAIA Softball World Series in Sioux City, Iowa.

Although the Blue Hawks are still playing in the 2015 season, Coach Fleury currently holds a career record of 201-91 with a .688 winning percentage. Her first win as a head coach came on March 13th, 2010 when the Blue Hawks defeated MidAmerican Nazarene (Kan.), 4-2.

The Blue Hawks have had winning seasons in all six seasons as Coach Fleury at the helm. The Blue Hawks finished 34-13 in 2010, 31-13 in 2011, 28-23 in 2012, 25-16 in 2013, 39-15 in 2014, and are currently 44-11 in 2015.

Under Coach Fleury, the Blue Hawks have reached the NAIA National Softball Tournament four times in 2010, 2013, 2014, and 2015. The Blue Hawks also have won regular season conference championships in 2010, 2011, and 2014. The Blue Hawks have also won conference tournament championships in 2014 and 2015.

In Fleury's two years as an athlete with the Blue Hawks, she started 90 games at third base. Her .353 career batting average helped DSU to 2007 and 2006 DAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships. Dickinson State were 2007 Region III Champions and finished in the "Elite 8" at NAIA National Tournament. In 2006, the Hawks finished as Region III Runner-Up. Fleury was a First Team All-DAC selection in both 2007 and in 2006.

Prior to Dickinson State, Fleury attended West Valley Junior College in Saratoga from 2003-05 where she helped the Vikings to a pair of 3rd place finishes in the state championships. In 2005, she was named to the All-Coast Conference Second Team.

A native of San Jose, California, Fleury graduated from Dickinson State in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in University Studies with minors in Coaching and Sociology. In the spring of 2012, Fleury completed her Masters of Arts in Human Performance and Physical Education with an emphasis in Coaching from Adams State University.

Coach Fleury is also the Assistant Athletic Director at Dickinson State University.
