The Stars pounded out 10 hits in the game, and took advantage of six walks issued by William Woods pitching to improve to 32-8 on the season.

Amanda Howard, a senior from Strathmore, Alberta, Canada, provided two hits, four RBIs and two runs scored to pace the OCU offense.

Autumn Mayberry, a freshman from Mustang, Okla., went 3-for-3 with RBIs and a run scored in the game, and Jen Davis, a senior from Muscatine, Iowa, went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run.

Ashley Wilburn, a senior from Gilmer, Texas, went the distance in the circle, shutting down William Woods for five innings. Wilburn allowed just four hits and struck out eight batters. She worked out of a bases loaded jam in the third inning to secure a 2-0 lead for OCU.

The Stars broke the game open with six runs in the fourth inning and two more in the fifth inning.

Howard delivered for a three-RBI double to left-center with two outs in the fourth inning to give OCU a 5-0 advantage. Mayberry followed with a double down the left-field line that scored Howard from second base. Lily LaVelle finished off the inning with a two-run homer over the right-field wall, her ninth of the season.

Davis roped an RBI single up the middle in the fifth inning, then Howard drove in a run on a bases-loaded walk to provide the Stars with a 10-run advantage.
