SURREY, B.C. - Former Brenau pitcher Marisa Litster has been named to the Senior Women's National Softball Team for the 2009 Canada Cup. Litster won nearly 70 games during her career with the Golden Tigers.

There were a total of 19 players that were selected, including nine players returning from the 2008 Olympic Team, four players that played for the Canadian Junior Women's Team in 2007 and six others who were selected from three Evaluation Camps held over the past month.

The final selection camp was held this past weekend in Victoria, B.C. Litster was a First-Team All-Conference selection this past spring as the Golden Tigers won their first ever regular season SSAC Championship and advanced to the NAIA National Championships for the first time in their history.

She won 20 games and carried a 1.40 ERA in her senior season.
