Top Five Remain the Same in Final 2009 NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The final 2009 NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 Poll has been announced this afternoon (May 5). California Baptist finishes the season ranked No. 1.  The Lancers hold onto the top spot for the seventh consecutive week after receiving 22 first-place votes and 683 total points.  California Baptist is now 54-5 on the season and won the Golden State Athletic Conference tournament championship.

 

Coming in at No. 2 are the Lady Chaps of Lubbock Christian (Tex.) who receive two first-place votes and collect 663 total points.  Dickinson State (N.D.) is ranked third with 637 total points.  Checking in at No. 4 is Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) after receiving 612 total points.  Rounding out the Top 5 is William Carey (Miss.).  The Lady Crusaders earn 599 total points.
