Lee University defeats Columbia (Mo.) College 7-4

at the 2007 NAIA Softball National Championship

DECATUR, Ala. - Maranda Mounce and Danielle Everett each drove in two runs as Lee University defeated Columbia (Mo.) College 7-4 Saturday (May 19) evening at the 2007 NAIA Softball National Championship being played at Wilson Morgan Park.

The seventh-ranked Flames ended their season at 43-16 while the Cougars fell to 28-20.

The hits by Mounce and Everett highlighted a seven-run fourth inning for the Flames. Brittany Rowe (7-4) picked up the win while Sarah Warren recorded the final two outs to earn her second save of the season.
