MOBILE, Ala. - The Belhaven College Lady Blazers broke the school homerun record with an 8-7 victory against the University of Mobile with five solo homers by five different players, which ranks 3rd nationally.

The players were Britney Webb, Caitlin Bryan, Lauren Biediger, Keresa Steichen, and Tiffany Ansley. The old Belhaven record was four, which was set earlier this season. The Blazers handed UM their first home lost of the season.

Belhaven top hitters were: Caitlin Bryan (3-4, 3-RBI, & 1 HR) Lisa Murray (2-4) Tiffany Ansley (3-4, 1-RBI, & 1 HR) Keresa Steichen (2-4 1-RBI, & 1 HR) Lauren Biediger (1-2 1-RBI, & 1 HR) Erin McGowan (2-4) and Britney Webb (2-4, 1 RBI, 1-HR, & 2-SB's)

Belhaven pitcher Mandie Henderson received the win to go (10-2) on the year.

In game two BC blazed ahead early with a 4-1 lead in the top of the 4th inning. Mobile responded in the bottom of the 4th with scoring five runs. All five runs were scored in a two out situation. Belhaven threatened in the top of the 6th with leaving 2 runners stranded, which gave UM the 6-4 victory. Erin McGowan took the lost in the circle for the Blazers. BC finished the day with a (27-14) record.
