NAIA Softball Player of the Week
Simon Fraser (B.C.) catcher Rebecca Hartley is the NAIA National Softball Player of the Week after helping the Clan to a pair of wins by belting two home runs and coming up with 12 RBIs, including nine in the opening game of a two-game set with Corban (Ore.).

Hartley went 6-for-6 in game one of the Corban twinbill, scoring five runs while hitting three homers and posting a double to go with her nine runs driven in, boosting the Clan to a 25-8 win in the opener.

Hartley then capped the doubleheader with a 4-for-5 outing, scoring one run with one home run and a double in the game. She drove in three runs during the 14-2 win, pushing her mark for the week to a dozen RBIs.

Hartley finished the doubleheader 10-of-11 at the plate for an average of .909, and her slugging percentage for the week surged to 2.182 in two games played. Hartley ended with four home runs and two doubles, as six of her 10 hits went for extra bases.

NAIA Pitcher of the Week Brittiany Johnson, Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.).

Johnson opened the week with a five-inning performance in a loss to Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.), earning a rare no-hit loss with 10 strike outs and five walks. Johnson bounced back from the loss with a 12-K, seven-inning outing in a 1-0 TNU win in the first game of a doubleheader against Spring Hill (Ala.). Johnson also pitched three innings in game two, striking out four and allowing only one hit in a 7-3 TNU triumph.

The Trojans then turned to a single game against TranSouth rival Lambuth (Tenn.), as Johnson went five innings with a dozen strike outs, no walks and only two hits surrendered. She allowed Lambuth no runs for her part in the 7-1 Trojan win, picking up her third victory of the week to improve her record to 3-1 in the five-game stretch.

Johnson's week ended with an inning and two thirds against Freed-Hardeman, as she struck out four and held FHU hitless to earn her only save of the week. Johnson ended the stretch with only six hits surrendered and one unearned run, with a strike-out-to-walk ratio of nearly 5-to-1.
