SNU's Frizell Ties National Record

SALINA,Kan. - Southern Nazarene University (Okla.) freshman Andrea Frizell tied an NAIA National record for most strikeouts in a game on March 10th, recording 19 strikeouts against McPherson College (Kan.)  Competing in the Kansas Wesleyan University tournament, SNU posted a 4-1 record, improving its seasons mark to 8-9.

Against McPherson, Frizell allowed two hits and recorded 19 K's to tie the national record which was set earlier this year by Lyndsey Gavulic of Belhaven College (Miss.) on February 11. Frizell led SNU to a 7-0 win over McPherson. 

In the tournament, Frizell went 2-0 with 33 strikeouts, allowed no runs and only four hits to improve to 4-4 on the year.
