Week 1 (March 1, 2022)

Player of the Week: Sam Linscott, Lewis-Clark State (Idaho)

Linscott had a spectacular day at the plate for LC State in a doubleheader sweep of Eastern Oregon. The senior launched three home runs and had nine RBI in two games, and also legged out a triple for 2.000 slugging percentage. He went 5-for-8 on the day and had one stolen base. Linscott had one big fly in game one and two in the second contest.

 Pitcher of the Week: Colby Ring, Antelope Valley (Calif.)

In his only game of the week, Ring threw a seven-inning no-hitter against Bethesda University of California on February 22nd. The Pioneers won the game 8-0 thanks in large part to his 11 strikeouts on 103 pitches. Ring was two walks away from a perfect game.

Player of the Week: Austin Hurt, Cornerstone (Mich.)

Hurt is hitting .476 with eight HR's and 20 RBI after his first 12 games this week... Broke a single game record with 3HR in a game and 9RBI... Broke the WHAC record for total bases in a game with 15.... Had a stretch where he was 11-12 with six HR's, two doubles, and a triple.

 Pitcher of the Week: Grant Young, Cornerstone (Mich.)

Young recorded the program's first no-hitter over eighth ranked Keiser University (Fla.) with a career high 11 strikeouts. He recorded a pair of walks across the seven inning contest.

Week 3 (March 15, 2022)

Player of the Week: Jace Matkin, Madonna (Mich.)

During three victories for the Crusaders last week, Matkin combined for a .786 batting average, .813 OBP, and a slugging percentage of 2.071. In a 5-4 win, he was a homerun away from the cycle. He hit four homers over the next two games while also adding three triples in one game.

 Pitcher of the Week: Luke Shively, Taylor (Ind.)

Shively was dominant in his outing against Huntington, in which the righty led Taylor to a 6-0 win. The Mishawaka, Indiana, native threw his second-career complete-game shutout, while recording a career-high 12 strikeouts. Shively now leads the league with 46 k's in 35 innings of work. The league leader in strikeouts allowed just one hit and one walk, facing a mere 28 batters in his nine innings of work, one away from the minimum. Furthermore, between the first and seventh innings Shively sat down 17 Foresters in a row.

Week 4 (March 22, 2022)

Player of the Week: Leo Aguilar, Tabor (Kan.)

Catcher Leo Aguilar was outstanding over an 8 game stretch, leading Tabor to 7 wins. Aguilar hit .630 and slugged 1.667 for the week. He led the Bluejays with 9 homeruns with four multiple HR games. He batted at least .500 in every game and recorded 18 RBIs. Aguilar was also outstanding defensively, catching every game for the Tabor. In the series finale versus Avila, the Eagles were threatening and Aguilar gunned down a stolen base attempt by Avila to end a potential big inning for the Eagles. Aguilar currently ranks 5th in the NAIA in homeruns.

 Pitcher of the Week: July Sosa, Faulkner (Ala.)

Sosa limited the No. 2 team in the country to six hits and a walk over seven shutout innings to snap the Bulldogs' 23-game win streak. The performance, which lowered his season ERA to 1.20, came against a lineup that averages 10 runs per game and hits .344 on the season. Prior to the contest, TWU had scored 69 runs in its five previous contests. Sosa now has 45 strikeouts and six walks over 30 innings of work in 2022.

Week 5 (March 29, 2022)

Player of the Week: Luke White, Lewis-Clark State (Idaho)

White had a record-setting weekend at the plate to help the No. 3 Warriors to a sweep of UBC to begin Cascade Conference play. The senior from Lewiston became the first Warriors since current head coach Jake Taylor in 1993 to hit two home runs in the same inning, and then became the first LC State player to homer in four straight at-bats. White hammered four home runs and two doubles for a 1.533 slugging percentage, tallied nine hits in 15 at-bats (.600) and knocked in 14 runs.

 Pitcher of the Week: Gyeongju Kim, Dordt (Iowa)

Set a program record with 21 strikeouts, bettering a mark that has stood since 1972. Had 13 strikeouts through seven innings and didn't allow an earned run. Allowed three hits and walked one as he improved to 4-2 this season. Retired the side in order seven times and a retired the last 10 batters he faced. Gave up a walk in the eighth inning. Leads the conference in k/9 innings and total strikeouts.

Hit for the cycle vs. WV Tech Hit 3 home runs over the weekend leading SSU to sweep of UPIKE. Tallied 10 hits, 16 RBI, and six walks.

Player of the Week: Holland Boan, Ottawa (Kan.)

In four games last week, Boan hit .778 (7-for-9), scored eight runs, hit one double, three home runs, drove in seven, had a 1.889 slugging percentage, was walked six times, hit by a pitch twice, had a .833 on base percentage, hit a sacrifice fly, and stole three bases. He has helped the Braves to a 31-5 record this season and a ranking of no. 17 in the NAIA.

 Pitcher of the Week: Robb Adams, Southeastern (Fla.)

Adams was dominant with 12 strikeouts in a complete game shutout of No. 7 St. Thomas on Friday. The junior allowed just eight hits. Adams leads the nation in complete games with four, wins with 11, strikeouts with 85, and ERA at 0.25.

Week 8 (April 19, 2022)

Player of the Week: Payton Higgins, Bellevue (Neb.)

Bellevue senior Payton Higgins was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer during the fall. He was our starting right fielder for most of last season and played a significant role in the team's success. Over the past several months he has undergone chemo and other treatments at home in Utah with his wife and family by his side. This weekend was Senior Weekend for BU and he, along with his family, made the trip to Omaha and made his season debut. He appeared in all four games in our sweep of Presentation, playing both left and right field while getting several plate appearances, scoring a run and recording an RBI.

 Pitcher of the Week: JackHenry Glasgow, Crowley's Ridge (Ark.)

JackHenry Glasgow made history, tossing Crowley's Ridge College's first-ever perfect game. The Paragould native was the model of efficiency, using just 55 pitches to record the clean sheet.

Week 9 (April 26, 2022)

Player of the Week: Holland Boan, Ottawa (Kan.)

In three games last week, Boan hit .636 (7-for-11), scored seven runs, hits six home runs, drove in 11 runs, had a 2.273 slugging percentage, was walked four times, only struck out once, and had a .733 on base percentage. He hit three home runs in game 1, two in game two, and one in game three against Tabor. Boan's first home run in game two set a new school record for single season home runs. On Saturday, Boan was intentionally walked in his first two at bats of the game. On his third, he hit his NAIA leading 26th home run.

 Pitcher of the Week: Brandon Callender, Judson (Ill.)

Callender pitched a complete game shutout striking out 12 and walking one in a dominant performance Wednesday. Judson won the game 4-0 against Trinity International with Callender allowing only three hits.

Player of the Week: Dawin Santos, Wayland Baptist (Texas)

Hit 5 HRs and had 13 RBIs (including two five-RBI games) in final week of regular-season. He hit a program record-tying three HRs in finale, the last a dramatic, 3-run monster shot that tied the game with two out in bottom of the 8th (WBU won, 11-10, on walk-off, RBI-single in 9th)...Santos is 2nd in the SAC and tied for 9th in the NAIA in HRs with 17.

 Pitcher of the Week: Sam Jones, Waldorf (Iowa)

Carried a no-hitter into the 9th inning on Friday vs. Viterbo despite an hourlong rain delay after the fifth inning. 15 strikeouts a career high in Friday's outing. Two appearances in wins helped Waldorf to a 7-0 week, the first time winning seven or more in a row since the 2019 season.
