The Ravens Fly Away from the Bees for a Chance at their Second National Title

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Benedictine College (Kan.) (20-0) continued its undefeated streak with a commanding 25-11 victory over SCAD Savannah (Ga.) (15-4). The Ravens will take on Cumberlands (Ky.) on Saturday, May 3 at 1 p.m. ET.

The match began with Benedictine taking an early lead, scoring nine goals in the first quarter compared to SCAD's four. Kaylen Moore was a standout performer, opening the scoring at 12:27 with an assist from Alexa Hildenbrand and adding two more goals in the first quarter alone. This early attack allowed Benedictine to pull away despite SCAD Savannah's efforts, including a free-position goal by Ellen Benintendi and an impressive unassisted goal by Emma Roch.

The second quarter saw the Ravens further extend their lead, scoring eight goals to the Bees' two. Moore continued her stellar performance with two additional goals, supported by Chanterra Allen, who also contributed significantly with a series of unassisted goals. By halftime, Benedictine had established a commanding 17-6 lead.

SCAD Savannah attempted a comeback in the third quarter, with McKinsey Brown scoring twice, including a crucial unassisted goal. However, BC maintained its dominance, with Mackenna Hill and Lorelei Siegel each finding the net, ensuring the team's lead remained unchallenged.

In the final quarter, Benedictine added four more goals, while SCAD Savannah managed to score twice, courtesy of Brown and Molly Wilson. Despite their efforts, SCAD could not overcome the deficit, concluding the match with a final score of 25-11.

Benedictine's victory was characterized by their efficient use of free position shots, converting four of four opportunities, and their dominance in draw controls, winning 25 compared to SCAD Savannah's 13.

Kaylen Moore led Benedictine's scoring with five goals and one assist, while Chanterra Allen contributed six goals and two assists. For SCAD Savannah, McKinsey Brown was the top performer with four goals and one assist.
