KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Aiyanah Simms of Ave Maria (Fla.) was named as the NAIA women’s lacrosse offensive player of the week and Casey Monahan of Marian (Ind.) was names as the NAIA women’s defensive player of the week. The duo was chosen out of a pool of conference and group winners.

5-9, SO, Hendersonville, Tenn.  

• Simms helped her team to a 3-0 week with wins over Nichols, Ottawa (Kan.) and Life (Ga.).

Defensive Player of the Week
Casey Monahan, Marian 
5-3, JR, GK, Mifflinburg, Pa.   

• Monahan held the No. 7 team in the country at bay just enough for No. 7 Marian to capture the upset.
