Ng Remains 6-Under, UBC Maintains 54-Hole Team Lead at 2025 NAIA Women's Golf Championship

YPSILANTI, Mich. – British Columbia’s Jessica Ng shot even par Thursday at the 2025 NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship in Ypsilanti, Mich., and at 6-under she maintained a 54-hole lead despite receiving a challenge from SCAD Savannah (Ga.) sophomore Sharon Shan, who had the best round of the day at 3-under 69, pulling within a stroke of the leader at 5-under with 18 holes left in the championship.

Ng’s round at even par paced a consistent day for UBC, who enters the final round with a 15-stroke lead over Marian (Ind.) and Keiser (Fla.) - who matched UBC, along with Dalton State (Ga.) for the day’s best team score to pull even with Marian over 54 holes. BC will go for its eighth team title in school history, and Ng will attempt to become the second Thunderbird in UBC history to win an individual title.

Shan, who led the event through 18 holes, posted her second round below par in the tournament, this time converting three birdies on the front nine and another on the back to balance one bogey on the day. Ng, who now has 15 birdies over three rounds, did hit a rough patch, recording bogeys at No. 10, No. 11, and No. 12, but three birdies in Thursday’s round balanced, keeping Ng in front of Shan going into Friday’s final round.

Carolin Alblas led Keiser, shooting 70 (2-under), a round that included an ace on the sixth hole. She is tied for fourth at 2-over, along with Emma Weiler, from Marian. The only other player under par in the championship is Butpapaporn Sukterm, of Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), in third place after shooting 1-under Thursday, carding four birdies to balance three bogeys on the day.

After UBC, Marian, and Keiser in the team standings, SCAD Atlanta (Ga.) shot 298 on Thursday to remain in fourth place, while Texas Wesleyan, William Carey (Miss.), and SCAD Savannah (Ga.) are all tied for fifth. SCAD Savannah rebounded in a big way from Thursday, improving by 14 strokes to move up. Dalton State, currently tied for seventh, shot 296, and will enter Friday’s final round tied for seventh with Lindsey Wilson.

Oklahoma City rounds out the top 10 team standings, posting 302 on Thursday, the Stars best round of three in the championship.

The final round gets underway Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. ET, with tee times for the third round, team standings, the individual leaderboard, and tournament stats available on SCOREBOARD, Powered by Clippd, which will also carry live results from the championship for Friday’s final round.
