STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich.- Day two of the 2021 NAIA Women’s Bowling Championship was full of surprises as several top seeds were upset at Five Star Lanes on Friday.
Baker play and rounds 1-7 of the national championship will be video-streamed live on the NAIA Network at www.NAIANetwork.com, the NAIA’s official video-streaming platform powered by Stretch Internet. The championship final on March 27 at 12:00 p.m. central will air on ESPN3.

Highlights
- Round one saw a five-setter that gave No. 9 Ottawa (Kan.) the upset over No. 8 Grand View (Iowa).
- Huntington (Ind.) was the only team to win a match in three sets. The Foresters two three-set wins were over Martin Methodist (Tenn.) and St. Francis (Ill.)
- No. 6 Midland (Neb.) upset Lawrence Tech (Mich.) and No. 7 Huntington (Ind.) to remain in the winner’s bracket.
- Pikeville (Ky.) had the highest pinfall in a set during rounds 1-5 at 278 against Indiana Tech.
- There were two set ties, in matches seven (Ottawa (Kan.) vs Martin Methodist (Tenn.)) and eight (St. Francis (Ill.) vs Grand View (Iowa)).
- Eight of today’s matches went to five sets
- Four of today’s matches went to four sets
- Two of today’s matches went to three sets
- Seeds No. 2 and 3 were upset and knocked out of the competition.
- Midland (Neb.) and Lawrence Tech (Mich.) were the only two teams to capture a comeback win after going down two sets the teams came back and won three straight to advance. Grand View (Iowa) had a similar comeback win the exception of their first set being a tie.
- Saturday No. 1 Indiana Tech, No. 4 Pikeville (Ky.), No. 5 Baker (Kan.) and No. 6 Midland (Neb.) remain in the battle for the banner.
