STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich.- Day one of the NAIA Women’s Bowling National Championship came to a close with a late surge by Indiana Tech. Because of the late surge, Indiana Tech advanced to No. 1, and the two and three seed were only 22 pins apart from each other.

Day One Highlights :

-        Lawrence Tech (Mich.) led most of baker play until fifth baker set

-        St. Francis (Ill.) took first in battle with Lawrence Tech (Mich.)

-        Indiana Tech made a late surge in the final two baker sets to take first overall

-        There was a tie between Grand View (Iowa) and Huntington (Ind.) after the sixth baker set

-        Huntington (Ind.) won the tiebreaker over Grand View (Iowa) to take 7th place

-        Grandview (Iowa) took 8th after the tiebreaker against Huntington (Ind.)
