2020-21 NAIA Women's Basketball All-Americans, Coach and Player of the Year Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2020-21 Women's Basketball All-America Teams. Stefanie Berberabe of Westmont (Calif.) was named the 2021 NAIA National Player of the Year.

There were four teams that boast two players in 1st, 2nd or 3rd teams: Campbellsville (Ky.), Marian (Ind.), Providence (Mont.) and Westmont (Calif.). Campbellsville was the only team to have two first-team players. Marian and Westmont both had a player on first-team and second team. Providence had one first-team player and one third-team player.

Stefanie Berberabe of Westmont has made a lasting mark during the 2021 season as Player of the Year as she leads her team in points averaging 17.13 points per game. Berberabe posted higher percentages in field goals and free throws this season than in her past two seasons. The junior set single-game season-highs this year of 28 total points, 12 made field goals, 11 total rebounds, eight assists and five steals.  She was also awarded Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) player of the year, All-GSAC Selection and was named player of the week on Dec. 10 earlier this season.

Coach Kirsten Moore of Westmont (Calif.), in her 16th season, was named the NAIA Women's Basketball Coach of the Year after finishing the season at 15-1. Coach Moore led her team through the regular season to become the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) west division champion and the 2021 NAIA Women’s Basketball National Champions. This is the second title this program has won under the direction of head coach Kirsten Moore.

Prior to the national championship, K.C. Bassett of Sterling (Kan.) was named the 2021 United States Marine Corps/WBCA NAIA Coach of the year. Coach Bassett completed a season with only one loss on their record with a season-ending loss to Dakota State (S.D.) in the Round of 16 at the final site of the national championship. The Warriors recorded their 18th appearance in the national championship this year and third consecutive appearance.

All of the selections are made by the All-America Committee and comprises a First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention Team. There are 10 members on each of the first three All-America teams.
