  Emily Cerny grabbed her second NAIA Pitcher of the Week honor of 2022 behind her 15th career no-hitter, one of four outstanding outings of the week. The senior recorded 26 strikeouts, allowed four hits and no runs over 16 innings of work last week.

  Miranda Wehrle collected 22 RBI for Indiana Wesleyan in 34 total at-bats. The junior hit .471 and slugged .824 with three home runs while only striking-out four times.

  Kim Horsten did not allow a single run in 19 innings pitched last week on the way to four wins. The junior recorded 24 strikeouts with zero walks and helped to set a new Heart of America Athletic Conference record for consecutive scoreless innings at 36.2.

  Sarah Abramson picked-up her second consecutive national pitcher of the week honor after recording back-to-back no-hitters. On Friday, one of those was a perfect game. The senior has now won 17-consecutive decisions.

Player of the Week: Addi Betts, Saint Katherine (Calif.)

 

Addi Betts had a monster week as she had 12 hits, three doubles, three home runs, and eight RBI's. She was intentionally walked twice against Marymount as she posed such a large threat at the plate. Her hitting percentage was a phenomenal .706 with a 1.412 slug percentage. She also had a great week at third base making tons of plays for the Firebirds. Her fielding percentage was a strong .921.

  Was dominant in the circle in OIT's 4-game sweep of #3 ranked College of Idaho...struck out 11 batters in a 2-hit shutout in Game 1, picked up the win in relief (her school record 80th career win) in Game 2, and blanked C of I for a second time in Game 3 of the series, tossing a 3-hitter...has a CCC leading 16 wins on the season
