JACKSON, Miss. -- The 18th-ranked University of Mobile (Ala.) softball team rallied for a pair of wins at 23rd-ranked Belhaven (Miss.) Tuesday, giving head coach Terri McCormick her 250th career victory in the process. Mobile won the opener 5-2 before taking the finale 13-9. Mobile has now won 12-straight games.

McCormick's record sits at 251-130 in seven-plus seasons leading the Lady Rams. She has guided the Lady Rams to three NAIA National Tournament appearances, including a runner-up finish in 2008 when the team won 42 games.

After being held to two hits and no runs through the first five innings of the opener, Mobile scored five runs over the final two frames.

Taylor Clinkenbeard started the fifth with a bunt single, and after a pair of outs, Jordan Coleman connected on a two-run home run to right-center field to tie the game at 2-2.

Makayla Scott worked around a two-out double in the bottom of the sixth, and then Mobile went to work in the top of the seventh.

A walk and failed attempt to erase the lead runner on a bunt set Mobile up with two runners on to start the final inning. Two batters later, with runners at second and third and one out, Tyler Winkler ripped a two-run double to put the Lady Rams ahead for good. A Belhaven error brought home the final run of the frame.

Scott picked up the win in relief, tossing two innings of one-hit, shutout ball.

Coleman and Winkler each finished 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

Mobile fell behind 6-1 after two innings in the finale before plating 12 runs over the next four innings, including three or more in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth frames.

As part of a three-run fourth that tied it at 6-6, Mobile got run-scoring hits from Coleman, Ashley Middleton and Brandee Reyna.

Mobile then scored three more in the fifth after starting with four-straight singles. Emily Vickrey and Coleman capped the inning with run-producing outs.

The Lady Rams put the game away with a four-run sixth, highlighted by a two-run double from Anna Blake Barnette and a RBI-double from Shelby Willett.

Scott picked up another win in relief, holding the Blazers to three runs in 5.2 innings after entering the game in the second inning.

Winkler led Mobile with a 3-for-4 day at the dish, scoring twice and driving in a pair, while Barnette and Coleman each added two hits, two runs and two RBIs. Clinkenbeard and Reyna added a pair of hits each.

Mobile (20-7, 10-2) will host Faulkner for a Southern States Athletic Conference twin bill Friday at 4 p.m.
