By: Chad Waller, Director of Communications & Sports Information

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the third-straight week, Oklahoma City tops the charts in the third regular-season edition of the 2015 NAIA Softball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Tuesday. At 25-1 overall, the Stars own the NAIA’s best win percentage (.962). Oklahoma City collected all 21 possible first-place votes and 591 total points.

The rest of the top five also held their position from last week: No. 2 Auburn Montgomery (Ala.), No. 3 Concordia (Calif.), No. 4 Saint Xavier (Ill.) and No. 5 LSU Alexandria (La.).

Holding its 23rd all-time No. 1 ranking, Oklahoma City started off the year with a 23-game winning streak. In the early going, the Stars lead the Sooner Athletic Conference with a 6-0-0 record. On Tuesday, Oklahoma City has a home showdown with No. 6 St. Gregory’s (Okla.).

Defending national champion and No. 2-ranked Auburn Montgomery is riding a current 10-game winning streak.
For the second-straight week, No. 12 Campbellsville (Ky.) claims the most positive movement within the Top 25 – this time vaulting up seven spots. No. 23 Belhaven (Miss.) drops down nine positions for the worst fall.

With a 23-5 record, No. 25 Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) vaults into the Top 25 for the first time in school history. Heading into this week, the Wolves are on a six-game winning streak.

Reinhardt (Ga.) (No. 22) fell out this week. The absence snaps 26-consecutive weeks of being ranked dating back to middle of 2012 season.
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences /independent /unaffiliated groupings. The fourth regular-season Top 25 will be announced on April 7.
