GULF SHORES, Ala. - (CU vs. BC Box Score) (BU vs. TC Box Score) Top-ranked Concordia (Calif.) and Brenau (Ga.) each eased through their Pool A competition on Saturday at the NAIA Softball National Championship. The event is being held at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex for the second-straight year.

Both of these clubs will battle tomorrow at 6 p.m. CDT in the pool championship contest. Concordia staved off upset-minded Bethany (Kan.), 8-2, and Brenau run-ruled Talladega (Ala.), 8-0, in six innings.

Concordia's big inning came in the third as its plated five runs. Amanda Fama connected on a grand slam for her NAIA-leading 27th homer of the season. She has now hit a pair of home runs in the last two days. She finished 2-for-3 from the dish with 5 RBI. The Eagles tacked on three more in the fifth before Bethany got on the board.

Nicole Felker drove in Jensen Wolff for the Swedes first run in the fifth. Brittany Lewis then had a run-producing single in the seventh to close out the scoring.

Concordia's Courtney Young earned the win by tossing four innings. She allowed just three singles and whiffed two batters.
