Hall Gets Coaching Win Number 100 at Union

JACKSON, Tenn. – Heather Hall, the head coach of the Union (Tenn.) University softball team, reached 100 career wins on Monday (Feb. 21). Union’s double-header sweep over Blue Mountain (Miss.) gave Hall wins number 100 and 101.
Hall is in her fourth season as head coach for Union. She has a career record of 101-61 (.623) in that time. She is coming off her best season at Union after finishing 34-16 overall and 10-4 in the TranSouth, good for second place.
Hall came to Union in 2008 after serving as a graduate assistant and assistant coach at the University of Tennessee-Martin. Hall is a 2004 graduate of Gannon (Penn.) University where she was a four-year starter for the softball team. While at Gannon, she set numerous school records. In 2001, Hall was named the GLIAC Freshman of the Year and was a three-time All-GLIAC performer (2001, 2002, and 2004). In 2002, her ERA and strikeouts placed her second and third respectively in NCAA Division II ranks.
Hall has competed in the Canadian Nationals at the junior and senior levels. She was named the MVP for the Canadian Senior Women’s National Tournament in 2002.
