SALEM, Ore.
Senior Erin Sailors (Anchorage, Alaska) became only the sixth player in Cascade Collegiate Conference history to surpass the 500-strikeout plateau for a career this past weekend against The College of Idaho.

Sailors eclipsed the career milestone on Friday against the nationally-ranked Coyotes when she struck out C of I's Katie Kurdy looking in the bottom of the fifth inning for her sixth K of the afternoon, as she became the first-ever Warrior to reach this elite achievement.

In four seasons as a Warrior, Sailors has appeared in 85 games that includes 74 starts in the circle. In 429.2 innings of work, Sailors has registered 24 wins to go along with 515 strikeouts. Over her career, Sailors has averaged 1.20 strikeouts per inning.

On the all-time career list in Warrior softball history, Sailors ranks as the all-time leader in innings pitched (429.2), appearances (85), games started (74), shutouts (7), and strikeouts (515). Meanwhile, the four-year Warrior sits in the Top 5 in wins (24 – 2nd), complete games (46 – 2nd), saves (2 – 2nd), and earned run average (4.44 – 3rd).

Sailors also holds the single-season records for shutouts (4) and strikeouts (155-and-counting), which were both set this season.

Heading into the final weekend of regular play, Sailors ranks sixth all-time among CCC pitchers in strikeouts for a career. The all-time list is...

* 692, Annele Huckins (2004-07) – Concordia
* 622, Leslie Ernstrom (1999-2002) – Oregon Tech

Sailors, who is entering her final weekend as a Warrior, has registered a win-loss record of 9-9 this season with an ERA of 2.81 in 119.2 innings pitched to go along with her school-record 155 strikeouts.

Corban is 19-23 overall this season, including 7-13 in conference play. With four games remaining in the '09 season, the Warriors are looking to eclipse the record for most wins in a single season in program history.
