2009 NAIA Softball Players of the Week Announced - #7

KANSAS CITY, Mo.Erin Slettvet of Oklahoma City has been selected as the NAIA Softball Player of the Week while Kelly Sladek of Midland Lutheran (Neb.) was awarded the NAIA Softball Pitcher of the Week while for April 20-26.

 

Slettvet, a senior catcher from Long Beach, Calif., batted .696 with 1.391 slugging percentage last week.  In six games she went 16-23 with five homeruns, a double, 16 RBI and 13 runs scored.  Against Southwestern College (Kan.), Slettvet went 4-5 at the plate with a double, a homerun, six RBI and scored five runs.

 

Sladek, a junior from Cordova, Neb., had four wins and two saves in six appearances last week. She has now pitched 33.1 straight scoreless innings.  On the week, Sladek pitched 33.1 innings while allowing zero earned runs, 13 hits and struck out 41 batters.
