CALDWELL, Idaho. - Heather Dixon hit a two-out, two-run walk-off home run to left-centerfield in the bottom of eighth inning, helping The College of Idaho upset NCAA Division I Boise State, 4-3, in the opening game of tonight's doubleheader at Symms Field.

The Broncos (16-16) battled back in the nightcap to claim a 12-2 victory.

BSU took a 3-2 lead in the eighth as the inning was prolonged by an error, with Jessi Hanna lacing a base hit into right.  However, a one-out throwing error by the Broncos put the tying run on in the bottom of the frame, and on an 0-2 pitch, Dixon golfed her school-record setting 12th home run of the season - her second walk-off bomb of the year.

A pitchers' dual through three innings, the WAC program struck for two in the fourth on an RBI ground out by Kelly Sweeney and an bloop RBI single by Laurel Wyatt.  The NAIA Coyotes (20-15) would come right back, as Amy Rhoades laced an RBI double, followed by an RBI single by Dixon.

Jody Zillner picked up her 12th win of the season, striking out nine, with Dixon recording two of the Yotes five hits.  Tazz Weatherly went 2-for-4 for BSU.

Game 2 was all Broncos, getting RBI singles by Kathy Cox and Kelsey Perkins in the first to open the scoring.  They'd blow the game open in the third, as Cox launched a three-run homer, her seventh of the season.

The Coyotes lone runs came in the fifth, as an error allowed two runs to score.

Cox went 3-for-5 with four runs scored and five RBI, with Wyatt recording three hits, and Perkins, and Christina Capobianco each recording two hits.  Aubrey Zell picked up the win in the circle for BSU.  Dani Villyard had two hits for the Coyotes.

The Lady Yotes return to action this weekend hosting Northwest Christian on Saturday morning at 11 a.m., while BSU heads to Las Cruces, N.M., for a league-series at New Mexico State.
