Christner Claims 300th Win as Lady Statesmen Softball Skipper

Oskaloosa, Iowa - William Penn softball coach Mike Christner recently moved into an exclusive club as he claimed his 300th victory as a collegiate coach last weekend.
With the Lady Statesmen’s 5-4 (8 innings) and 4-3 wins over Waldorf Saturday, Christner claimed wins #299 and #300. He currently owns a mark of 300-149 (.668) in his eighth year at the helm of the program.
The winningest coach in program history, Christner has guided his squad to three Midwest Collegiate Conference championships, seven NAIA Region VII Tournament appearances, and two NAIA Softball National Championship appearances in 2005 and 2007.
The Lady Statesmen have won at least 33 games in each of his first seven campaigns, highlighted by a school-record 51 wins in 2005.
