2008 NAIA Softball National Championship Qualifiers Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the qualifiers for the 28th Annual NAIA Softball National Championship.  The tournament will be held at Wilson Morgan Softball Complex in Decatur, Ala., May 16-21, 2008.

 

This year's 20 teams include 13 region champions and seven at-large selections.

 

Bethel (Ind.), California Baptist, College of Idaho, Columbia (Mo.), Dana (Neb.), Friends (Kan.), Indiana Southeast, Lubbock Christian (Texas), Mobile (Ala.), Olivet Nazarene (Ill.), Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.), Walsh9 Ohio) and Warner Southern (Fla.) all received an automatic bid after winning their respective region tournaments.

 

Dickinson State (N.D.), Oklahoma City, Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.), Shorter (Ga.), Simon Fraser (B.C.), St. Gregory's (Okla.) and William Carey (Miss.) received an at-large bid.

 

Pool assignments and schedule will be released by Noon (CST) on Sunday, May 11.
