KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Sara Jane Webster of Dickinson State (N.D.) has been selected as the NAIA Softball Pitcher of the Week while Anna Ball of Notre Dame (Ohio) was awarded the NAIA Softball Player of the Week for April 7-13.
Webster, a freshman pitcher from Los Angeles, Calif., recorded three wins last week. She struck out 36 batters in 19 innings and allowed just one earned run. On the season Webster is 10-0 with a team best 1.22 ERA and 111 strikeouts.
Ball, a junior infielder from Bellville, Ohio, recorded 12 hits in 20 at bats for a .600 batting average during the week and helped the team post 6-0 record. She had seven RBI and scored 12 runs on seven doubles, one triple and two homeruns.
