KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jackson Cockrell of Grand View (Iowa) is the NAIA Men’s Wrestler of the Week. The winner was selected based on their performances from January 6-12 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees. 

Wrestlers of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Wednesdays on naia.org, Instagram and X.

NAIA Men’s Wrestler of the Week

Jackson Cockrell, Grand View (Iowa) - JR – 133

• Went 3-0 in the 133-pound weight class at the NWCA National Duals, helping Grand View to a first-place finish.
• Defeated the No. 19, No. 9, and No. 1 ranked wrestlers in the 133-pound weight class.
• In the finals, he won 4-1 over Thaddeus Long of Life (Ga.), the top-ranked wrestler in the weight class.
