2018 Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week ? No. 3 (April 4)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Hunter Miniard of Cumberlands (Ky.) been named the NAIA National Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of The Week and Alex Wellington of Hastings (Neb.) has been named the NAIA National Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of The Week, the national office announced Wednesday. The duo was selected based on their performances from April 9 - 14. 

Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week
Hunter Miniard, Cumberlands
SO, Maryville, Tenn.

  • Finished first out of nine in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.74.
  • Finished first out of eight in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 52.32.

Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week
Alex Wellington, Hastings
JR, Tuscon, Ariz.

  • Finished first out of 18 in shot put with a mark of 18.14.
  • Finished six-of-26 in the discus with a mark of 49.0.
  • Finished three-of-24 in the hammer with a mark of 57.06.
