2021 NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship - Heptathlon

Yankton, S.D. – The men’s heptathlon national champion was declared on the second day of the 56th annual NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field National Championship held at Ruth Donohoe Fieldhouse on the campus of Mount Marty (S.D.).

The 60-meter hurdles, pole vault and 1000-meter run events were completed Friday. Philip Stomne of Keiser (Fla.) had led from start to finish to claim the national title, racking up 5,211 points. It was the first Keiser (Fla.) athlete to win the national indoor heptathlon title in the program.

Cleet Wrzesinski of Dickinson State (N.D.) was second with 5,079 points. 

Concordia (Neb.) takes the lead in the men’s team standings with 12.5 points after two events scored, thanks to Cody Williams’ third place in the heptathlon with 5,056 points. Columbia International (S.C.) and Keiser are tied for second with 10 points.  Dickinson State and Marian (Ind.) are tied for fourth with eight points.

Nineteen final events will take place on the final day of the NAIA Men’s Indoor Track & Field Championships Saturday. The first event is scheduled for 9 a.m. with the 3000-meter racewalk.
