COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. – [Final Site Schedule] [Bracket] The quarterfinal round matchups have been finalized after a thrilling day one of play at the 2020 NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship on Tuesday. Cumberlands (Ky.) advanced against in-state rival Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) in the first match of the day, followed by a single-goal victory by St. Thomas (Fla.) in the second.

GAME NOTES/HIGHLIGHTS

No. 8 Cumberlands (Ky.) def. No. 9 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), 3-2

• Hrannar Magnusson scored the second and third goals for Cumberlands (Ky.) in the first game of the First Round against regular-season in-state rival Lindsey Wilson (Ky.). 
• The first goal of the day was scored by Rodrigo Riveros late in the 13^th minute. He also assisted the second goal at the top of the 14^th minutes.  
• With 18:05 left to play in the first half, weather conditions deteriorated resulting in a 68-minute-long lightning delay.
• No. 9 – seeded Lindsey Wilson scored a total of two goals. One early in the 28^th minute by Ezequiel Hernandez and the second late in the 58^th minute by David Ibramkadic. Both were unassisted.
• This is the first time Cumberlands (Ky.) has advanced in final site competition.

No. 10 St. Thomas (Fla.) upsets No. 7 Mid-America Christian (Okla.), 1-0

• In the 74^th minute, Felipe Madero scored the only goal of the game, assisted by Ben Becker.
• PK by Rodrigo Albuquerque saved by Franco Acerbi in the 77^th minute.
• Franco Acerbi recorded six total saves.
• Mid-America Christian (Okla.) recorded 12 shots with six shots on goal – St. Thomas (Fla.) recorded eight with one on goal.
