  Craig Sterk led Northwestern to a big victory over conference rival, No. 8 Morningside (Iowa). The junior finished with a double-double (34 points, 13 rebounds) and recorded his 1,000th career point in the second half.

Player of the Week: Alex Gross, Olivet Nazarene (Ill.)

 

  Alex Gross notched his 1,000th career point as he led his Tigers to two wins. His career mark game in the first game of the week in a road matchup against St. Ambrose (Iowa). In his second game of the week, he recorded 35 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists and eight blocks.

Player of the Week: Zaccheus Darko-Kelly, Providence (Mont.)

 

  Zaccheus Darko-Kelly recorded a pair of double-doubles over the course of three games and three victories last week. The senior played in all 50 minutes of a double-overtime victory to begin the week. In that game, he netted 37 points, 13 rebounds and came two assists short of a triple-double with eight.

  Trey Petty, with just nine days of organized practice prior to the season opener, led Stillman (Ala.) to a 3-0 week as he averaged a double-double over the course of three contests on the week. He recorded a triple double (38 points, 16 rebounds and 12 assists) against Rust College.
