2025 NAIA Baseball All-Americans Announced; Muniz Named Player of the Year, Rhode Pitcher of the Year
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The 2025 NAIA Baseball All-America Teams have been announced, headlined by 2025 Player of the Year Charlie Muniz, of Cumberlands (Ky.), and 2025 Pitcher of the Year Isaac Rohde, of LSU Shreveport (La.).
Rohde recorded 16 winning decisions in the Pilots' unprecedented 59-0 2025 season, ending the year with 146 strikeouts while issuing just 11 walks over 20 appearances and 120.1 innings pitched. He was also named MVP of the 2025 Avista NAIA World Series, last week, where he struck out 16 batters and went 14.2 innings over three appearances, including a complete-game, four-hit shutout win against Southeastern (Fla.) on May 28.
He had a pair of wins in the World Series and struck out one in a relief appearance in the title game on May 31.
Muniz rounded out a prolific offensive career at Cumberlands in 2025, hitting 36 home runs – two shy of tying an NAIA single-season record – batting .426 with 96 RBIs, and 100 hits, a total that included 18 doubles. He also drew 42 walks to compile a .516 on-base percentage, and his home run and RBI totals led all NAIA batters in 2025.
The 2025 season helped Muniz rewrite multiple records, including both the NAIA and collegiate baseball record with 115 career home runs. The all-associations record had stood for 40 years, held by former Major Leaguer Pete Incaviglia, who hit 100 career home runs. Muniz also broke the NAIA career record for hits (377) and RBIs (336).
The First and Second teams are recognized as ABCA/Rawlings All-Americans by the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings Sporting Goods. The ABCA began recognizing All-Americans in 1949 and named the first ABCA NAIA All-America team in 1969. Starting in the 2024 season, the NAIA started recognizing Third-Team All-Americans. The NAIA Baseball All-America selection committee is responsible for administering the selection procedures at the site of the NAIA World Series, prior to the start of the National Championship.
