2022 ABCA-Rawlings NAIA Baseball Gold Glove Team Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) in conjunction with the American Baseball Coaches Association has announced the 2022 ABCA-Rawlings-NAIA Baseball Gold Glove Team. The nine position winners, who were chosen based upon their defensive success, were selected by the NAIA Baseball Coaches Association All-America Committee.

Andrew Fernandez, Sean Rooney, and Cale Thompson take home the first honors for St. Thomas (Fla.), Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.), and Corban (Ore.). 

This season marks the seventh time in history, all since 2011, that teammates were selected to the Gold Glove team. Vanguard (Calif.) has done it twice in 2017 and 2018 followed by one time each for Indiana Tech in 2017, Lyon (Ark.) in 2016, Siena Heights (Mich.) in 2012.

Bellevue (Neb.) now has seven team members all-time which eclipses the six from Vanguard (Calif.); Lyon (Ark.), Webber International (Fla.), and Oklahoma City are tied for third place with five each.
