Tell us a little bit about yourself: I'm a native Michigander and was fortunate enough to get my first chance in the biz with then-Davenport (Mich.) SID, Aaron Sagraves. After a year at Graceland (Iowa) as an assistant, I was blessed with my first "head gig" opportunity at John Brown. While I knew next to nothing about the University or the region at the time, over my seven (seven!) years at JBU, I've fallen in love with the people I work with, the institution and the booming region that is Northwest Arkansas. We're doing great things at JBU, and like to think I'm employed by one of the premier institutions in the NAIA.

Favorite Hobby: After my four-year hockey career at Calvin College came to a close, I kept playing - a great way to stay in shape and blow off some steam. However at a ripe age of 30, my ACL decided it had taken enough abuse over the years and called it a career. I'm currently a "band-aid" for at least another six months, hoping to make a slow and steady comeback to the game I love most.

Favorite Memory as an SID: Has to be our women's basketball Cinderella run to the 2014 Fab Four. That run saw us not only register our first-ever win at the National Championships in the Round of 32, but we then dispatched the No.1 overall seed in the Round of 16 before overcoming an 18-point deficit in the final eight minutes of play in the Quarterfinals.
