NAIA National Office Teams

Championships 

The NAIA's Championships staff administers and manages 25 National Championships events each year. In addition to promoting NAIA National Championships to sports commissions, convention and visitors bureaus and other venues to bring in high-quality bids for each event, the staff works closely with the local hosts and organizing committees.  The Champs team serves as liaisons with NAIA coaches and administrators.

Legislative Services

Legislative Services assists NAIA governing committees with the enforcement of NAIA rules and policies and facilitates the drafting of NAIA constitutional, bylaws and policy changes. The staff is responsible for providing rules education to membership and is a resource for interpretation of NAIA rules and policies.

Membership

Recruitment, retention and member satisfaction are the responsibility of the NAIA membership team. Helping prospective and current members understand the NAIA value proposition along with identifying and promoting services that benefit members is a primary focus.

Marketing & Communications

The Marketing and Communications team develops strategies for building NAIA awareness, membership communications and growth initiatives for the association. The department supports all NAIA teams with both internal and external communications and coordinates association events including convention and meetings.

Athletics Communications 

The Athletic Communications and Sports Media team administers ratings and sport statistics and provides coverage of all NAIA postseaon competition through a variety of digital media. In addition to managing the NAIA Network video streaming portal, the team coordinates national network broadcast of championships.

Sponsorships & Development

The sales staff provides the NAIA with revenue through sponsorships for the NAIA through official partnerships with businesses that want to work with member schools, including official ball adoptions.  The Champions of Character Foundation is supported by the development team which secures funding for Champions of Character programs through foundation grants, corporate and individual donors, and fundraising events.

Campus and Conference Initiatives 

Campus and Conference Initiatives works with conference commissioners to build stronger conferences and identifies services that can have a positive impact on member athletics departments and student-athlete experiences.  The team oversees the NAIA's officiating initiatives that include training of NAIA officials in NAIA rules and conduct in competition.

Champions of Character®

The Champions of Character team is responsible for implementing Champions of Character programming and tracking the implementation on NAIA campuses.  The staff develops resources for educating NAIA audiences and the public about the five core character values.

Information Technology & Operations

The operations and information technology staff facilitates the day-to-day business of the National Office. IT supports all office business systems, membership databases and reporting services. Operations includes reception, human resources, accounting and facility management.

NAIA Eligibility Center

The NAIA Eligibility Center staff determines the initial eligibility for all NAIA student-athletes by reviewing academic and athletic records.  Teams within the center handle document processing, customer relations and domestic and international decisions.  Staff work closely with member institutions throughout the determination process and are responsible for educating membership about the eligibility process and NAIA Eligibility Center policies.
