KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jacob Whyte of Cumberland (Tenn.) has been named the NAIA Men’s Volleyball Attacker of the Week, Yammiel Martinez of St. Mary-Woods (Ind.) has been named the NAIA Men’s Volleyball Defender of the Week, and Pedro Aguiar of Lawrence Tech (Mich.) has been named the NAIA Men's Volleyball Setter of the Week. The trio was selected based on their performances from April 1-6 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

Players of the Week are announced on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram, and X throughout the regular season.

NAIA Men's Volleyball Attacker of the Week 

Jacob Whyte, Cumberland (Tenn.) – GR – Outside Hitter

• Totaled 38 kills for an average of 5.43 kills per set in two matches
• Recorded an attack percentage of .531 with four errors on 64 total attacks
• Added seven digs and four total blocks on the week 
• Aided Cumberland (Tenn.) to wins over Oakland City (Ind.) and Brescia (Ga.)

NAIA Men's Volleyball Defender of the Week

Yammiel Martinez, St. Mary-Woods (Ind.) – JR – Middle Hitter

• Totaled 17 total blocks in a pair of matches
• Had an average of 2.43 blocks per set
• Added six kills and three digs for the week
• Scored 17 points in the two matches

NAIA Men's Volleyball Setter of the Week 

Pedro Aguiar, Lawrence Tech (Mich.) – FR– Setter

• Recorded 113 assists for an average of 12.56 assists per set in three matches
• Had 49 assists in a 3-1 victory over Indiana Tech
• Added 20 digs and three total blocks for the week
• Aided Lawrence Tech to a 3-0 week with a pair of wins over Indiana Tech and Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio)
