2023 NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championships Qualifiers Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – (Qualifiers by Weight Class | Qualifiers by School | Qualifiers by Conference) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) is pleased to announce the qualifiers for the 2023 NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championships hosted at Harold Newman Arena in Jamestown, N.D. The inaugural championship event features four sessions and runs from March 10-11.

Each conference tournament awards automatic bids per weight class based on the final regular-season poll, which can be seen HERE. Each conference is awarded automatic berths based on the amount of wrestlers ranked in each weight class. Each conference is awarded a minimum of one automatic bid per weight class, which will go to the tournament champions, even if the conference did not have any wrestlers ranked in the final regular-season poll. If a conference does not have an individual ranked in the final top 16 an allocation will be granted to ensure each conference is represented at each weight class at the National Championships.

After the conference tournaments concluded, a 10-member committee consisting of conference raters and oversight members met to select the remaining national at-large qualifiers. The seeding and preliminary brackets will be announced on NAIA.org by 5 p.m. (CST) on Friday, March 3rd.

Four teams will bring a full complement of 12 wrestlers to the championships including Grand View (Iowa), Life (Ga.), Menlo (Calif.), and Southern Oregon. Iowa Wesleyan will travel 11 while Campbellsville (Ky.), Central Methodist (Mo.), and Indiana Tech sport 10 each.

The Heart of America Athletic Conference and Mid-South Conference are tied for the lead with 53 student-athletes each while the Cascade Collegiate Conference is third with 45 individual qualifiers.
