KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Radaisy Valdez of Ottawa (Kan.) has been named the NAIA Women’s Volleyball Attacker of the Week, Emma Lyons of Marian (Ind.) has been named the NAIA Women’s Volleyball Defender of the Week and Abbigail Porter of Indiana Wesleyan has been named the NAIA Women's Volleyball Setter of the Week. The trio was selected based on their performances from September 25 - October 1 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

Players of the Week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Women's Volleyball Attacker of the Week 

Radaisy Valdez, Ottawa (Kan.) - JR - Middle Blocker

• Notched 34 kills in a pair of straight-set wins last week for an average of 5.67 kills per set
• Recorded a .673 hitting percentage with 49 total attacks having only one blemish

NAIA Women's Volleyball Defender of the Week

Emma Lyons, Marian (Ind.) - SO - Defensive Specialist

• Posted a total of 78 digs over three matches last week, including a career-high and modern-day single-match record against No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan with 38 digs
• Recorded 21 digs against Taylor (Ind.) and 19 digs against Spring Arbor (Mich.)
• Over the 12 total sets last week, she averaged of 6.50 digs per set

NAIA Women's Volleyball Setter of the Week 

Abbigail Porter, Indiana Wesleyan - SO - Setter

• Posted 143 assists last week or 14.30 assists per set over 10 total sets.
• Recorded a new season high against Marian (Ind.) with 56 assists helping to earn the 3-1 victory.
