2023 NAIA Women's Volleyball Coaches Top 25 Rating - No. 3 (September 26)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Concordia (Neb.) received its first No. 1 rank in the latest edition of the 2023 NAIA Women's Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Rating. Concordia (Neb.), Northwestern (Iowa), Indiana Wesleyan, Eastern Oregon and Corban (Ore.) remained in the Top 5 but shuffled places. A look at the entire Top 25 revealed only three teams that remained at the same rank as the last poll in Viterbo (Wis.), Missouri Baptist, and Park (Mo.). Kansas Wesleyan and St. Thomas jumped into the Top 25 from not being ranked and receiving votes, respectively.
Rating Methodology
- The rating was rated by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated groups.
- The Coaches Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second place and so on through the list.
- The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) is removed and the team's ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appear on.
- Teams that receive only one point on the ballot are not considered "receiving votes"
