Maddi Kamas of Oklahoma City Named NAIA Women's Golfer of the Year

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Maddi Kamas of Oklahoma City University has been selected as the NAIA Women's Golfer of the Year as chosen by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.

The sophomore from Kingfisher, Oklahoma is now a two-time NAIA First-Team All-American, was twice named NAIA Golfer of the Week, was selected as Sooner Athletic Conference Player of the Year and was the individual medalist at the SAC tournament.

She won three tournaments while also finishing second twice in the teams’ nine total tournaments. She scored an NAIA best 73.50 scoring average and 79 birdies – which is second best in the country. At the 2023 NAIA National Championship at TPC Deere Run, Kamas finished tied for 14th with a total of 306 include a low round of 72 for the Stars who finished third in the team standings.
