STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – [BRACKET | SCHEDULE | LIVE STREAM] The 2022 NAIA Women’s Bowling Championship began on Thursday at Five Star Lanes with six sets of four baker games to decide seeding for day two.

Highlights

  • SCAD Savannah (Ga.) qualified first with a score of 4853 as they used scores of 919 and 832 in their last two baker sets to propel them into the top spot.
  • St. Francis (Ill.) was 19-pins back in the second spot as the Fighting Saints posted the highest baker score set of the day with a 920, one pin better than SCAD.
  • Baker (Kan.) heads into bracket play in the three-spot, as its consistent play throughout the day gave them a total score of 4776. Just 61 pins back of the second-place spot
  • Kansas Wesleyan used a strong finish in its final two baker sets with scores of 807 and 847 to finish just three pins back of third with a total score of 4773.
  • Pikeville (Ky.) and Midland (Neb.) posted scores of 4761 and 4684 respectively to round out the top half of the 12-team field.
