KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Alysia Lawson of Northwestern Ohio has been named the NAIA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. Lawson was selected based on their performance from January 29 - February 4 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

Players of the week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

NAIA Women's Basketball Player of the Week 

Alysia Lawson, Northwestern Ohio - SO - Guard

• Helped lead her team to a 2-0 week with wins over Madonna (Mich.) and Lourdes (Ohio)
• Broke the school all-time single-game scoring record for both men's and women's program with 43 points vs. Madonna
• Shot 45.8% from the field on the week 
• Shot 47.6% from beyond the arch on the week
