2023-24 NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches Top 25 Rating - No. 4 (January 16)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Dordt (Iowa) holds fast at No. 1 with 18 of the 21 first-place votes in the latest edition of the 2023-24 NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Rating. Indiana Wesleyan follows Dordt with three first-place votes. Marian (Ind.) moved into the Top 5, while Oregon Tech, John Brown (Ark.) and Reinhardt (Ga.) all surpassed the Top 25 threshold week. Mayville State (N.D.) made the biggest jump in the rating as the team moved up five spots to No. 13.

Rating Methodology

  • The rating was rated by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated groups.
  • The Coaches' Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second place and so on through the list.
  • The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) is removed and the team's ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appear on.
  • Teams that receive only one point on the ballot are not considered "receiving votes"
