KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Alana Nelson of Spring Arbor (Mich.) has been named the NAIA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. Nelson was selected based on their performance from December 11-14 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.

Players of the week are announced weekly throughout the regular season on Tuesdays on naia.org, Instagram and Twitter.

• Posted a school record of 47 points vs. Lourdes (Ohio)
• Recorded a double-double with 47 points and 16 rebounds
• Notched a field goal percentage of 65.5%
• Added three steals and one assist to her stat line
